Mountaintop Inn Wedding: Olympia and Laura

 

Congratulations to the beautiful brides Olympia and Laura!

Their stunning Mountaintop Inn and Resort wedding started out stormy. My assistant Abi said, “I’ve never been at a wedding where it rained this hard.” We waited it out, and suddenly the sun came out as if nothing had even happened. Laura and Olympia made the final call to hold their ceremony out in the open at the final moment, and I was so glad that they did. The rain miraculously held off (guests said it must have been Laura’s parents looking down on them).

Laura and Olympia’s closest friends and family gathered at the top of the knoll of the Mountaintop Inn, where the sweet and thoughtful ceremony was held. Two roses were laid on the front bench, in memory of Laura’s parents. The thoughtful details like this made this wedding truly meaningful and unforgettable.

Laura and Olympia were clearly overjoyed to finally be married. Their lives have changed so much during their relationships. It’s clear that they are both each other’s anchor, through thick and thin. Laura told me how proud she was of Olympia. “She is fantastic at what she does. She built her career and she loves it.” The admiration and respect that they have for each other proved to be a strong foundation for their relationship.

One of my favorite moments of the day was the special dance that Laura had with her sister, following Olympia’s father/daughter dance. Laura’s siblings all joined in, and they shared one of the most beautiful moments I’ve seen on a wedding day. The love that was shared in the wedding barn was strong and beautiful. I was honored to be there to capture it.

Towards the end of the night, the couple celebrated with a sparkler send off and shared a kiss under the dark Vermont sky. It was the perfect ending to a truly magical day!
