Grant and Megan’s River Engagement Session

August 30, 2022

Over the winter, I was thrilled to work with Grant as he planned a surprise proposal for his girlfriend Megan. I was even more excited that later, they reached out asking if I would photograph their wedding! I fell in love with this couple during their proposal session and I knew they would be a huge source of creative inspiration for me this time around as well. Their ease around each other translates to them being consumed by the moment they are sharing. This makes my job extremely fun (and easy, if I’m being honest). They are willing to try weird things, and think outside of the box. Their attitude embodies, “why not?” They try to get out in nature as much as possible to kayak, which made our riverside location in Richmond, Vermont extra special to them.

Grant and Megan fell in love at work, where Megan made fun of his Arctic Monkeys poster. Grant was smitten, and they quickly started dating. “I knew it was real because there were no pretenses,” Megan told me. There were “no games, no waiting a certain amount of time before texting.” They both knew each other was the one quickly.

Since then, themselves and their pup have moved back to Vermont and are building a home and a life together. They can’t wait to get married, and I can’t wait either.

Thank you two so much for being such a light in this photographer’s career! XO!
