Introducing the Bentils

May 18, 2023

On a radiant spring day in May that was unseasonably warm and PERFECT, Emma and James Bentil exchanged vows at the picturesque Essex Resort in Vermont. Their love story, which began during their time at UVM, led them to this remarkable wedding celebration, where every detail spoke volumes about their style and sophistication.

Emma’s choice of attire was nothing short of timeless elegance. I can’t tell you how many DMs I’ve gotten since posting about their wedding, exclaiming about her dress. To complete her bridal ensemble, Emma wore a stunning cathedral-length veil that cascaded gracefully behind her, creating a mesmerizing aura.

I dare you to try to describe James without using the word “dapper.” He’s always immaculately dressed and has this swagger that is fabulous behind the lens.

A standout feature of the day was the exquisite floral arrangements, meticulously crafted by a talented relative who happens to be a skilled florist. The blooms, carefully selected and artfully arranged, added a personal touch to the occasion, infusing it with a sense of familial love and artistic flair. The vibrant colors and delicate petals harmoniously complemented the surroundings.

I also loved when their beloved golden doodle made his appearance. It lit Emma and James’ faces up and I was so glad that they arranged for this visit, because it was clear that it completed their day.

House on Fire skillfully curated a set list hat catered to all musical preferences, igniting the dance floor with contagious energy. Emma, James, and their guests showcased their moves with unreserved enthusiasm. After a long winter, everyone wanted to shake it off and less loose. (I expected nothing less from my fellow UVM compadres.)

Emma and James Bentil’s wedding was a testament to their love, style, and shared journey. They are the most welcoming, sweetest people. They offered for me to stay at the end of the night and have a glass of wine. They will always extend a seat at their table and I absolutely adore this about them.

To the Bentils: you deserve the absolute best, and you’ve found it in each other. Congratulations! XO!!
