Brooke and Bill’s Golden Hour Maternity Session

Oh Brooke and Bill. They are angels, whose wedding I was lucky enough to photograph nearly five (FIVE! When did that happen?!) years ago at the beautiful Barn at Smuggs. They are now expecting their first baby, and my emotions ran high when Brooke reached out to book a maternity session with me.

They brought their two pups, because after all, “they were our first children.”

It sounds cliche, but it needs to be said: Brooke and Bill still have that newlywed spark. “It’s been the best thing,” Brooke said about seeing Bill becoming a dad. He seemed to dote over her more than usual, and it was easy to see them with a child in tow romping through the grass with them and their two pups. It seems so natural, and though Brooke and Bill might be nervous, they are not letting that anxiety feed them. They are present for this journey, and the softness with which they interact was beautiful behind my camera. And the way Brooke simply BUSTED into a huge grin when she looked at Bill tells me everything I wanted to capture. Their love story is still just as beautiful as it was when they were adorned on their wedding day. It looks wildly different now.
