Camila found me via Instagram last year, and she essentially said, “I don’t know exactly when our wedding is, but we want you to photograph it.” She told me a little bit about herself and her relationship with Chad, and I was sold. I knew we were a perfect fit.
And when their day finally arrived, I was blown away by the amount of effort and love that Camila, Chad, and their families poured into their event.
“Camila arranged these,” Camila’s mother-in-law said to me, wide eyed, pointing to the GORGEOUS flower arrangements. They took DIY to a whole new level. I swear, photographing this wedding’s details gave me a literal adrenaline rush.
I spent the early afternoon with Camila’s bridesmaids, who are sweet as they are beautiful. What really struck me was how much they– and everyone– wanted to make this day perfect for Camila and Chad. Chad’s mother ran around helping me find people and arrange photos, and it was clear that she was beyond excited to have Camila marry her son. Chad was nervous but excited. “Today is about no stress. I don’t want anyone stressing out on my wedding day,” he told me as he sipped a beer with his best friends.
Camila and Chad’s daughter was adorable and looked like an angel in her white flower girl dress. She was thrilled to match her mom! One of my favorite moments of the day was when she felt shy as she walked down the aisle to throw her petals. Chad walked down the aisle, scooped her up, and threw the petals himself. Everyone was laughing, and it told me a lot about Chad’s outlook on life. When life gives him lemons, he makes lemonade!
I was thrilled to photograph a wedding at the Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm for the first time. The venue was large, with rolling fields and gorgeous views. It epitomized rustic elegance, with its large beams interwoven with crystal chandeliers. The owners were gracious and fun as well.
Camila and Chad, thank you for being so relaxed, fun, and sweet. Thank you for having me be a part of your day.
Congratulations on your beautiful marriage!
