“We met on Halloween, and I accidentally tripped into a mud puddle and pulled her in with me,” Dylan told me. They literally “fell” in love (I couldn’t resist!) and five years later, Dylan proposed to Kathryn with a stunning ring that he picked out himself. “I was so surprised…. Dylan told me that the cows got out, so everyone came to help us. Then he proposed,” Kathryn laughed. This couple is full of amazingly sweet stories, and I have no doubt that many more are to come.
We met up at the STUNNING Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm. I met the owners, Angela and Dean, last year at Camila and Chad’s wedding. They were so much fun to work with, and it’s clear that their goal with the farm is to make people fall in love with nature and the beautiful VT landscape. Their venue has a gorgeous barn with chandeliers and light-colored walls (perfect for photos), many expansive fields where deer and rabbits graze all afternoon, a creek, and a huge corn field. When Angela and Dean’s daughter got engaged, they sent her my way and I was so happy to work with her. And I knew I would not struggle to find good light and beautiful surroundings for Kat and Dylan’s session on Friday! (I wish I could build a tiny house on that property and stay there forever.)
Kat and Dylan are so playful with one another. Dylan lives to make Kathryn laugh, and the way they look at each other was beautiful to capture on camera.
I’m already counting down the days until their 2021 wedding– something tells me it will be the party of the decade!
Thanks to Kathryn and Dylan, and to Kathryn’s parents Dean and Angela, for making this extremely memorable and special. Congratulations!

Over the years, I was asked the same questions. “What do I wear?” “What colors look best on camera?” This FREE guide will tell you all you need to know about how to prepare for your session!
