Kathy and Curt’s Shelburne Inn Elopement

Congratulations to Kathy and Curt, who eloped this past weekend at the Shelburne Inn after 40 years together, with only their closest friends and officiant in attendance.

When asked for their secret to long-lasting love, Curt told me, “Don’t go to bed angry. It’s not worth it.”

We had the entire Shelburne Inn grounds to ourselves, and the evening was full of laughter and golden light. My favorite photographs of these two were the candids of Kathy briefly hugging into Curt. It was a small gesture that showed me that after 40 years together, they still find comfort and love in those small moments.
