Maggie and Steve drove up to Vermont to tour their wedding venue (the gorgeous Inn at Manchester) and take engagement photos last weekend. It was our first time meeting in person, but I felt like we were old friends. I’m sure everyone who meets them feels that way. They have a very warm and fun energy, and it’s so clear why they fell for each other! They make each other laugh and smile so easily, and I loved capturing their candid reactions to each other on camera.
“We might have had a little Fireball in our coffee this morning,” they told me. This is honestly the BEST TIP EVER for my couples who drink– especially because winter sessions can be so frigid. The weather app said it was NINE DEGREES during Maggie and Steve’s session, but near the windy waterfront you know it’s at least ten degrees colder than in town. The Fireball kept them warm and happy, and we took five-minute breaks regularly to warm up in our cars. I was also extremely impressed by Maggie’s hair and makeup, by Heather Garrow Studios. Her face never looked red from the cold, and her makeup looked like it was just applied even at the end of our session. And even though the wind was violent that morning, Maggie’s hair stayed nicely curled. I think Heather might be a magician.
Maggie and Steve met on Tinder, and completely hit it off. Now, they are happily engaged and have an adopted pup named Gussie. They’ve kept in good spirits during the quarantine, and having a pup around made their coping a little more fun.
Thank you so much, you two, for SUCH a fun Saturday! I had a complete blast and cannot wait for your wedding later this year!
