After more than six years together, Deana and Ian eloped on Saturday at the Middlebury Inn! They were full of nervous anticipation despite it being just the two of them, myself, and their officiant. Their ceremony was beautiful, and their tearful vows were streamed live for their closest friends and family.

A highlight of the day was the Middlebury Inn’s coordinator, Patricia, who kindly unlocked the Porter Mansion for us to use. “I need a spiral staircase shot,” Deana had told me. Every time I shoot inside the mansion, the history and beauty of the space inspires me.

Ian and Deana are incredibly sweet together. Ian gently fixed Deana’s curls when the wind picked up, and the natural affection they showed toward each other made my job very easy. I can’t wait until their large party at the Middlebury Inn next year, on their 1st anniversary!
