Congratulations to Caroline and Kris, who got held their Vermont elopement on Thursday in the most beautiful oasis in Vermont.
Kris, who works for the Millstone Trails, knew that this was the perfect spot to marry Caroline. The turquoise water hidden by trees in the Vermont mountains is jaw-droopingly beautiful, and the water is so inviting that I found myself wanting to jump in despite the drizzly weather. My favorite part of this location was the solitude. We had the entire pond to ourselves, and it felt magical to be in such a beautiful place celebrating a love so special.
Caroline and Kris’ best friend Julia sang as they entered their ceremony space on some rocks overlooking the quarry. Her voice made me tear up, and the lyrics couldn’t have been more perfect.
Their ceremony was beautiful, with handwritten vows, flower petal confetti, and a lovely first dance. Their dog hazel was adorned in a flower collar and absolutely spoiled for her mom and dad’s wedding day.
When I asked Caroline how it felt to marry the love of her life, she simply said, “It feels sweet.”
Congratulations, you two! Your day was one for the books, and I feel so lucky to have gotten the honor of photographing it.
