Vermont Summer Maternity Session with Jess and Ben

 

Thank you so much to Jess and Ben, who invited me over to their stunning Vermont country home for their summer maternity session. I loved this couple immediately because they were willing to pose in the perfect light, despite a drizzle of that typical Vermont sunshowers we all know and love. The droplets of rain with the golden sun behind them, with weeping willows and tall grasses in their yard, was a photographer’s dream. Throughout our evening together, I kept thinking, “we are so lucky to live here.” Vermont in the summer cannot be beat. 

Jess and Ben were high school sweethearts, and they told me that it’s been wild to see their relationship change throughout the years– especially now that they are parents. They have been loving the journey, are eagerly await their baby boy. I asked them to rub and talk to the baby bump, and he started kicking. It was a beautiful moment of connection, and I was so grateful to get to capture it.
