Allison and Chris’ Sweet San Diego Engagement Session

Last week I met Chris and Allison at their favorite local creemee shop in San Diego for engagement photos. I loved this out-of-the-box idea because it meant so much to these two, who love Vermont and are getting married here next year at the Maquam Barn & Winery!

After a lil’ love and dessert at JoJo’s Creamery in Encinitas,  we went to a stunning nearby beach with huge cliffs and a beautiful vista including an overlook of their neighborhood. Allison and Chris were not afraid to get their feet wet and frolic around in the cool Pacific waves. Chris surfs, so it was nothing to him, and Allison is so easy-going that she was willing to do whatever it took for fun and memorable photos.

This session was particularly memorable and special to me, because it was the first solo photo trip I’ve taken to the west coast. I felt so incredibly lucky to explore a beautiful new place with my wonderful clients. It was a huge step in my career, and in a big way, I proved to myself that I can accomplish these goals that I’ve set for myself. And I LOVE the photos, which always helps!
