HUGE congratulations to Paige and Joel, possibly the sweetest people ever. When I arrived at their August wedding in Westmore, Vermont (not far from where I grew up), I found Paige chatting to the hair and makeup team, asking whether they needed anything. I would find that was typical for Paige, who spent her morning calmly getting ready in her beautiful venue at the Notch House and intermittently asking her friends or vendors what they needed.
“That’s just Paige for you,” her bridesmaids told me. The way Paige conducts herself with grace and also a fierce sense of humor captivated me that day. When her mom helped her with her dress, Paige told her, “None of this would have been possible without you,” and she teared up. Paige, her mother, and her sister all wore matching rings. I loved how much family and friends mean to Paige. She doesn’t take them for granted, and as such, she and Joel are beloved amongst many. Being thankful was one of the many ways Paige and Joel got the most out of their day, and they were over the moon to be surrounded by their loved ones.
I loved seeing how she and Joel stole moments together amidst a busy day. Their first look was in the grand living room at the Notch House, and Joel’s reaction was one of the most lovely I’ve seen in my career. He was floored by Paige, and they shared a sweet private moment that set the tone for the day beautifully.
The entire day– the fruit-filled tablescapes, the details, the magnificent tree overlooking the ceremony– was idyllic. Summer in Vermont cannot be beat, and VT was on its best behavior that day.
Another standout moment to photograph was the father/daughter dance. Paige’s father clearly cherishes her, and most of us had tears in our eyes watching them share that dance.
A gorgeous sunset over Lake Willoughby gap was the perfect finale for these two.
Congratulations, P & J– your sweet love inspired me, and I could photograph you every day! XO!

Over the years, I was asked the same questions. “What do I wear?” “What colors look best on camera?” This FREE guide will tell you all you need to know about how to prepare for your session!
