Schyler and Nick’s Sunset Engagement

 

 

 

 

 

CONGRATS to Schy and Nick, who are getting married next October at the stunning Mountaintop Inn and Resort. I was lucky enough to capture their proposal this winter, and was overjoyed when they reached out about wedding photos! They drove to Vermont to take their engagement photos, and I was so pleased that the sun came out for our happy reunion.

It has been a soggy season, and many of my couples have embraced the rain or shine mentality. But, we did not need our rainboots and instead opted for bare feet at the beautiful Shelburne Farms. (Shelburne Farms is a classic spot for Vermont engagement photography, because it is a perfect mix of manicured lawns and gardens and overgrown nature.)

Nick and Schy inspire me behind the camera for a multitude of reasons. For one, they banter with each other in such a way that suggests they are never bored. They could be waiting during a long and painful layover and something tells me they’d be able to chitchat the time away. This natural ease made them fun to capture, because they are animated and expressive with each other.

They are also stylish (I MEAN, I can’t choose my favorite dress between Schy’s two). I’m in love with Schyler’s ring, and its classic design is perfectly suited for Schy’s timeless beauty. She and Nick put thought and effort into their photos, and it showed. They brought champagne (even bringing me a glass) and we had a blast drinking that on the quiet beachfront in front of an incredible sunset.

 

CONGRATS, you two. I simply cannot pick a fav photo of you, and I’m beyond lucky to get to photograph your wedding in 14 months! XO!
