Marlene and Brandon’s Vermont Countryside Wedding

October 30, 2023

Huge congratulations to Marlene and Brandon, who got married last month at the gorgeous Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm! Their quintessential Vermont wedding had the characteristic smattering of rainfall but it lead to gorgeous skies later in the day, perfect for their riverfront first look. And Brandon’s reaction was beautiful.

Brandon and Marlene are nothing if not genuine. They wear their emotions on their sleeves. I think that’s why I love them so much, and why photographing them is such a joy. Seeing each other on their wedding day was nerve-wracking in the best way. They were beyond happy to celebrate.

The Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm was especially perfect for this couple because it is BEAUTIFUL, but also laid-back. It embraces that slow, intentional Vermont way of life. It is rustic but elegant, and the views are unbeatable. Adding to the all-star Vermont wedding vendor team list was Hillary Fay, who perfectly executed Marelene’s boho-elegant braided hair. I heard bridesmaids telling each other, “I’ve never felt so beautiful.”

Marelene’s DIY genius played a huge part in getting the venue ready for the day. She lovingly purchased sunglasses and flip flops for guests, along with blankets and other personal touches to make sure that everyone was happy and comfortable. Party favors can feel stale or overdone, and Marlene and Brandon’s were fresh and fun. She also roped baby’s breath together for their welcome sign, which was ingenious and my favorite touch of her decor.

Thank you, you two, for being absolutely incredible! Congratulations and best wishes in a very happy marriage. XO!
