Samantha and Matt’s Maquam Barn and Winery Wedding

 

 

Last weekend, Samantha and Matt tied the knot at the picturesque Maquam Barn and Winery under clear skies, overlooking the beautiful Green Mountains.

Samantha, radiant in her gown, had laboriously planned the day down to the smallest detail so that her guests would feel care-free for a night. Guests were treated to a celebration that seamlessly blended elegance and fun, in true Vermont wedding fashion. The signature couples cocktails were crowd pleasers, the DJ got everyone on their feet, and the real showstopper? The light-up disco cowboy hats.  As the sun dipped below the horizon, the hats came alive, turning the vineyard into a scene straight out of a country-pop music video.

I adore Samantha and Matt. They have an easy way of interacting, and they genuinely seemed present and so thrilled. Their friends were doting on them all morning and it was sweet to see how cared for and beloved this couple is by their large community.

I really loved their engagement photos that we took two years ago, and remembered that we had cows in the background of some of those photos. So of course, we had to take some with a neighboring field’s cows, since Samantha and Matt love animals.

I really can’t express how gorgeous the scenery was. The fresh, colorful flowers on the wooden arbor were eye-catching and somehow stayed perky despite the hot sun. Guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails on the patio overlooking verdant grape vines, and everyone wanted photos with the sun setting behind the mountains. Maquam’s barn itself, with its high ceilings and gigantic chandeliers, was the perfect space for Samantha and Matthew.
