Snowglobe Manchester Wedding | Vermont Documentary Photographer

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the love story of Cara and Pearl Cox-Sneider as they tied the knot in beautiful Manchester, Vermont. As a Vermont documentary photographer, I get to witness many heartfelt once-in-a-lifetime days. Cara and Pearl’s has stuck with me because of the numerous unscripted, candid, quiet moments they shared throughout the day that were a total joy to photograph.
Cara and Pearl chose to get ready together, a tender and intimate start to their wedding day. They exchanged sentimental gifts (“I can’t believe she got me to cry,” Pearl said after opening hers) before stepping into the winter wonderland freezing arctic snowglobe outside. Their snowy first look was ideal. It was exactly what you would want if you were to plan a winter wedding. Soft blankets of snow on each branch and bluebird skies. Vermont was on its best behavior for the out-of-state visitors.
Embracing the crisp Vermont weather, these two rocked their LL Bean duck boots, keeping their feet warm while adding a whimsical New England touch to their outfits. I love when couples match, and their customized necklaces were a gorgeous touch as well.
As the evening unfolded, the energy was so warm. I noticed that the dance floor was never empty. People were constantly hugging or toasting or laughing. It was clear that Cara and Pearl’s community adores them and I can see why.
